At NHC HealthCare, Garden City, we understand that there are many factors - physical, financial and emotional - that may need to be considered when making life-changing care and medical decisions for you, a loved one or a patient. Our social workers understand these concerns and are trained to assist the patient and family in making the best possible decisions. The social services department is available to assist the patients and families with any concerns, questions, or suggestions. It is our intention to make each patient's stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We are constantly striving for excellence; therefore, we always welcome suggestions for improvement.

We currently accept Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Managed Care and Private Payment.

How to apply for Medicare
To apply for Medicare benefits, contact your local Social Security Office. The toll free number is 1-800-772-1213. You may also visit the Medicare website.

Patient Trust Funds
Our business office offers and manages the patient trust fund accounts. The patient trust fund service enables residents to securely maintain a certain amount of money at the facility which can be accessed during day-time business hours. Social Security, VA, and pension checks as well as private money can be deposited to the account.
